Patch Notes - Version 1.3.4
We interrupt your daily flight to bring a new patch. It adds the ability to mark rooms in the map, and gives sound cues to enemies spawning in during combat. You can freely choose to these sound cues on and off in the options menu.
Additionally, it also optimizes the projectile collision system a bit, and fixes several bugs that were recently discovered. Some were apparently around for quite a while, I'm surprised I didn't catch onto them before.
Here is a full list of patch notes:
Additions:
- You can now mark rooms on the map by right-clicking or pressing left trigger over them.
- Marked rooms will turn bright green and have a pulsing start.
- You can mark up to 20 rooms at a time.
- Marked rooms work on a save file basis.
- If you mark a room on File 1, it will not appear marked on File 2.
Visuals:
- Added a logo to the intro animation
- Added a short tutorial text when acquiring the Manual Detonation module.
Audio:
- Added audio cues when enemies enter the field.
- The pitch indicates the size of the enemy ship; larger enemies will make deeper sounds.
- Sound volume decreases with distance.
Options:
- Added an option to toggle enemy spawn audio cues ON/OFF.
Bugs:
- Fixed a bug that would crash the game when trying to navigate the pause menu with the gamepad after switching active windows.
- Fixed a bug where Right D-Pad could not be bound in the options menu.
- Fixed a bug where the Centurion would collide with his own Forward Shield, causing him to drift around.
- Fixed a bug where the Upgrade Notification text would overflow from its container when the game text was in Spanish.
Techical Changes:
- Made optimizations to projectile collisions.
- Made minor optimizations to enemy navigation nodes.
**Important Note:** A few of the changes made can potentially cause some bugs with projectiles. I ran multiple tests to make sure nothing broke, but if you spot something that seems off please let me know ASAP.
How to update the game manually:
- Download the new version.
- Delete the old game folder. Aerostrike's save files are stored in a separate folder, so it is safe to delete the old game files.
- Create a new Aerostrike folder.
- Extract the game files inside the new folder.
If anyone is met with any sort of weird bug, or simply thinks that spawn sounds should be louder, feel free to leave a comment, send an email to the support address, or contact me via twitter. Stay safe pilots!
