We interrupt your daily flight to bring you a new update. This one focuses mostly on mostly small, but hopefully significant balancing changes, primarily for lower difficulties. The biggest change is the addition of partial shield regeneration on Trial Run and Standard Test.
Here is a full list of patch notes:
Visuals:
- When selecting a difficulty for the game, a short explination of each difficulties will be displayed.
- Improved the destruction debris system. Destructible Obstacles will now properly break apart when destroyed.
- Added a glow effect to Stinger's Energy Spike.
- Will review whether or not adding similar effects to other weapons will have a significant impact on performance or not.
Aerostrike:
- Added partial regeneration for Trial Run and Standard Test difficulties.
- After 5 seconds of not taking any damage, or upon leaving a room, the Aerostrike will regenerate a portion of its shields.
- In Trial Run, it will regenerate up to half of its shields.
- In Standard Test, it will regenerate a quarter of its shields.
- All other difficulties unaffected.
- The Aerostrike will only regenerate shields if they are lower than what it can regenerate.
- Increased the maximum weapon heat capacity of the Aerostrike from 15 to 20.
- Slightly modified weapon heat generation to accomodate to the new maximum weapon heat capacity.
- 23mm Cannon can now fire 40 times before overheating (previously 30).
- Energy Cannon can now fire 25 times before overheating (previously 20).
- Flak Shotgun can now fire 20 times before overheating (previously 10).
- Railgun Cannon can now fire 6 times before overheating (previously 5).
Plasma Machine Gun (enemy weapon:
- Modified difficulty damage scaling to decrease damage on difficulties under Trial by Fire.
- Old scaling: 6, 8, 10, 12.
- New scaling: 3, 6, 9, 12.
- Trial by Fire damage unaffected.
- Enemies impacted: Scout, Mini Turret, Sentry.
Stinger:
- Rotation speed now depends on the difficulty.
- Stress Test and Trial by Fire retain old values.
Sentinel Squadron:
- The distance at which Sentinels dodge attacks now depends on the difficulty.
- The higher the difficulty, the further away they will react to incoming projectiles.
- Trial by Fire retains old values.
- The higher the difficulty, the further away they will react to incoming projectiles.
Bugs:
- Fixed a minor bug where the A.R.I.A. menu title would not appear after closing the Inventory menu.
- Fixed a minor bug where the "Reset" button of the Options Menu changed text after saving modifications.
Techical Changes:
- Multiple behind-the-scenes changes in preparation of the upcoming Rebel Ops gamemode. Should not impact gameplay.
