Patch Notes - Beta 0.6.0
We interrupt your daily grub to bring you a new Potatostrike patch.
Patch 0.6.0 adds a whole lot of changes to the game. The movement system has been overhauled, keyboard and mouse control schemes have been merged, checkpoints have been added after every bossfight, and a proper intro animation has been added to the Title Screen! On top of that, a new Tutorial mission has been added to teach new players how to properly fly a Potato.
Additionally, two new Potatoes have been added to the game. The Zombiestrike will be replacing the Ghoststrike, taking advantage of the new checkpoint system to carry over all EXP and Levels after death. The Spookiestrike is unlocked after Mission 2 End II, and spawns orbiting Jack-'o-Lantern drones whenever it takes hull damage.

Visuals:
- When the Potatostrike takes damage, it will blink dark without becoming invisible.
- Added Mission Unlocked icons.
- Added an overlay effect when taking damage.
Changes:
- Ironstrike and Ministrike are now unlocked by default.
- Quickstrike is now unlocked by finishing Mission 1 End II.
- Set the Quickstrike's score multiplier to 110%.
- Modified the "Slow" button's behavior to be "Hold" by default.
- Modified the movement system to give the Potatostrike acceleration.
- Changed the default ship acceleration from 80% up to 100%.
Additions:
- Added a Tutorial mission to the game, unlocked by default.
- Added a "Hold" toggle setting for Slowing down the Potato.
- Can be changed in the Control section of the Options menu.
- Added Checkpoints after each bossfight.
- When the player dies, they can respawn at the last checkpoint at the cost of their score.
- Alternatively, there's an option to restart the whole mission.
- Added a new Potato: Zombiestrike
- Higher health.
- Heals when picking up shields.
- Retains Levels and EXP on death.
- Replaces Ghoststrike, same unlock requirements.
- Added a new Potato: Spookiestrike
- Spawns Jack-'o-Lantern drones when taking hull damage.
- Drones shoot with the ship.
- Unlocked by finishing Mission 2 End II.
Balancing:
- 23mm:
- Increased the spread of 23mm from (10, 14, 15) up to (12, 16, 17.5).
- Plasma:
- Plasma now gains increased fire rate at levels 2 and 4.
- Plasma now gains additional projectiles and movement width at levels 3 and 5.
- Decreased the width of the Plasma projectile's wave movement at levels 1 and 2 from 10 down to 8.
- Wave:
- Wave now gains increased damage and width at levels 2 and 4.
- Wave now gains increased fire rate at levels 3 and 5.
- Laser:
- Laser now gains 6 DPS at levels 4 and 5, replacing previous upgrades.
- Decreased the Laser's cooldown from 60 down to 50.
- Missiles:
- Decreased spread of Missiles from (10, 12, 14) down to (8, 10, 12).
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed Projectiles not being destroyed when Starchless retreats.
- Fixed Missions displaying the wrong unlocked ship.
- Fixed Digistrike's score multiplier appearing incorrectly as 125% when it was actually 120%.
Technical Changes:
- Modified the control scheme so that Keyboard and Mouse are combined.
- This will reset Keyboard and Mouse controls to their default settings.
- Some default keys from Keyboard have been overwritten or removed.
- Both Keyboard & Mouse controls, as well as Gamepad, now accept 3 bindings.
- Updated Input Library to version 7.0.1.
