A downloadable game for Windows

The galaxy is under threat of a evil army, lead by the twisted Starchless. It is up to the Potatostrike to lead the charge against them, defeat Starchless, and restore balance.

Welcome to this SHMUP spinoff of MF-01 Aerostrike. Expect action, bullets, explosions, and the strongest Potato-based space fighter ever made!

Can be played with Mouse, Keyboard, or Gamepad.

Mouse or Gamepad recommended for the best experience.

Planned additions for the future:

  • 1 more mission.
  • Translation to Spanish.
  • Highscore tracking.
  • Whatever else I can come up with at the time.

Install instructions

To install the game, download the .zip file.

Once downloaded, create a folder called Potatostrike. Extract the contents of the downloaded .zip file inside the Potatostrike folder.

You can run the game by double-clicking Potatostrike.exe, inside the Potatostrike folder.

To create a desktop shortcut on Windows:

After all the contents are extracted, right-click on Potatostrike.exe, and select "Create Shortcut". When the shortcut has been created, move it to your desktop.

Now you can simply run the game by double-clicking on the created shortcut.

It needs more missions, but It was still fun to play. Happy to see where it will go in future :-)

Thank you! At the time of writing, Mission 2 is already built, all that's missing is adding the background music. It will be added in the next patch, which hopefully should be done before April 18th.
