Patch Notes - Alpha 0.2.0


We interrupt your daily grub to bring you a new Potatostrike patch.

Mission 3 is here! The final confrontation between Potatostrike, and the Starchless Fleet. Deep in the core of the Harvester Station, Starchless and his followers ready up for a final stand. Final battles aside, patch 0.2.0 also brings a ton of changes. The Options menu was reorganized and expanded, missions keep track of the highest score achieved in them, and a ton of bugs were fixed. Additionally, the game has been fully translated to Spanish!

Here's a full list of patch notes:

Bugs:

  • Fixed the Potatostrike's damaged model having a larger hitbox than the regular model.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the window to not properly resize for non-standard display ratio monitors.
    • This may still be the case. If so, please report it, as I only have a standard 16:9 monitor and cannot test these issues myself.
  • Fixed player score not resetting correctly on Mission End.
  • Fixed particle effects persisting after exiting or restarting a mission.
  • Fixed various option settings not being saved, loaded, and/or reset correctly.

Additions:

  • Added Mission 3 - Core. It will unlock after completing either ending of Mission 2.
  • Added controller vibrations when the Potatostrike is hit.
  • Added highscore tracking. Each mission will keep track of the highest score achieved in it.
  • Added boss healthbars at the bottom of the screen.
  • Added localization to Spanish. You can change the language of the game in Options > Interface.
  • Added a Ship Acceleration setting to the Gameplay options menu.
  • Added two new Option submenus, Interface and Screenshot.

Changes:

  • Moved the UI visibility and Game language settings to Interface options.
  • Moved the screenshot timer setting to Screenshot options.
  • Updated the Inventory text.
  • Updated the Mission text.
  • Updated the Credits text.

Balancing:

  • Upgrading the Plasma Cannon now also increases its rate of fire.
  • Projectiles redirected by the Level 3 Bomb will now turn bright green.

Technical Changes:

  • Updated the Input library to version 6.2.5.
  • Game build created on a newer game engine version.
